Jurisdiction of cases

Interlocutory appeals from rulings of the District Courts in ordinary proceedings.

Appeals from judgments of the District Courts of the first instance in ordinary proceedings of civil (including family) and criminal (including juvenile) cases. Matters not provided for herein shall be governed by other applicable statutes.

First instance criminal cases relating to rebellion, treason, and offenses against friendly relations with foreign states.

Other cases prescribed by law.

Territorial Jurisdiction

The jurisdiction in this branch court includes Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Penghu County, Dongsha Island, and Taiping Island, where the jurisdiction is the largest area in Taiwan.

Our judicial district includes Taiwan Kaohsiung District Court, Taiwan Ciaotou District Court, Taiwan Pingtung District Court, Taiwan Kaohsiung Juvenile and Family Court, Taiwan Penghu District Court.
